They are required for the proper functioning of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office security components. The trick for installing Guest Additions in Window 7 is to trick it into thinking it's being installed in Vista. Please install the following security updates on your Windows 7 system. These updates are provided as a part of Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU). This seems to be in contradiction with KB 69302 which states:Īcronis Cyber Protect Home Office supports Windows 7, provided that the necessary security updates are installed. The key words seem to be "KB4474419, KB4490628, and Windows Extended Security Updates (ESU)". To use Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1, you will need the following security updates from Microsoft: KB4474419, KB4490628, and Windows Extended Security Updates (ESU). The ACPHO User Guide: Supported operating systems has the following statement: Paul, it looks as if you have to have bought the actual Windows 7 Extended Security Updates as well as installing the two specific updates listed in KB 69302: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office: required security updates for Windows 7 I have never seen any company that has moved from perpetual to subscription changed their mind and bring perpetual licenses again. That era is over, it´s history, it´s as dead as dead. I don´t say that i love it either, but to keep sane, just let go of it. Constant cashflow for the companies, etc. It has proven to be a good move for the companies in the long run. Subscription for lot´s of software is here and it is here to stay. Rumors say that Microsoft Office 2019 is the last version that will be aviable as a perpetual license. Fast forward to now and nothing has changed. So many complaints, so many endless threads that wanted the perpetual license back. I edit video and was a reseller when Adobe ditched all perpetual licenses and went 100% subscription with Adobe Creative Cloud. I understand and respect that some still want it, but it is a waste of time waiting for them to come back since they simply won´t come back. I am pretty sure that there will never be any more perpetual licenses from Acronis. Plus there are no 'Standard' (perpetual) licenses for ACPHO and the 'Essential' subscription is a waste of money as far as I am concerned!
